**Observation: The closed and exclusive "small circle" cannot stop the historical trend of building a community with a shared future for mankind

Recently, the United States and its allies have made frequent moves in the Asia-Pacific region. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida visited the United States, and the United States, Japan and the Philippines held a trilateral summit in Washington. The U.S.-Japan Leaders' Joint Statement and the Japan-Philippines-U.S. Leaders' Joint Vision Statement both contain groundless accusations and malicious smears against China. The sinister intention of the US alliance to "unite to contain China" is clearly exposed.

The United States has publicly stated that its cooperation with its allies and partners is "not aimed at China," but the various "small circles" led by the United States have become more and more confrontational against China, and have become a major threat to regional peace and stability. Ignoring the consensus of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea and the reality of regional peace and stability, the United States, Japan and the Philippines have frequently threatened China with the US-Philippines Mutual Defense Treaty and the US-Japan Security Treaty, and slandered the Chinese Coast Guard's calm and restrained professional maritime law enforcement as "dangerous and aggressive behavior". The United States and Japan took advantage of the trilateral summit and the joint US-Japan-Australia-Philippines patrol in the South China Sea to embolden the Philippines' provocation in the South China Sea. It is precisely with the support of a major foreign power that the Philippines dares to act recklessly, repeatedly sending ships to illegally intrude into the waters near China's Ren'ai Jiao, and staging a farce of "bumping porcelain" with a Chinese coast guard vessel. The United States wantonly exaggerates the "China threat" to create anxiety and tension, and uses the originally peaceful Asia-Pacific region as a "geopolitical arena" for playing games with China, and is still playing bloc politics driven by the Cold War mentality.

The American-style "small circle" seems to be lively and lively, but the domineering style of the United States and its words and deeds of fanning the flames and adding fuel to the fire are really unpopular. The performance of the United States in the Ukraine crisis and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has made the people of the world see through the hypocrisy of American-style democracy. The narrative of "democracy versus authoritarianism" peddled by the United States is full of loopholes and has few responses. In the United States, there are many ills such as partisanship, debt, and the immigration crisis. The absurd farce of treating internal diseases and external treatment, and shifting the blame has been staged, and "American-style democracy" has been increasingly questioned and criticized.

Unlike the United States, which has engaged in a closed and exclusive "small circle" in the Asia-Pacific region, China has adhered to the concept of amity, sincerity, benefit and tolerance, deepened friendly cooperation with its neighbors, done a lot of practical things that warmed people's hearts, and embarked on a new path of jointly building an Asian community with a shared future. China and ASEAN have been each other's largest trading partners for four consecutive years. According to the "State of Southeast Asia Report: 2024" released by the Yusof Issa Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, a Singapore-based think tank, on April 2, China has been regarded by Southeast Asians as the most influential in Southeast Asia economically and politically since 2019, and more than half of the respondents are optimistic about the prospects of their relations with China. The number of respondents who spoke positively of the U.S.-led Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) fell from 46.5 percent last year to 40.4 percent this year.

The Chinese are so busy working hard to get rich and improve their lives that they don't care about how the United States and its allies and partners interact. However, people's wishful thinking of harming others and benefiting themselves has been crackling, and they have always and everywhere aimed at China, and have made it clear that they will not hesitate to strengthen "alliance and partner cooperation" at the expense of harming China's interests. China's attitude is very clear: it resolutely opposes the manipulation of bloc politics, resolutely opposes any practice of provoking and intensifying contradictions and harming the strategic security and interests of other countries, and resolutely opposes the creation of closed and exclusive "small circles" in the region.

The Asia-Pacific region should become a big stage for countries to promote cooperation, not a gladiatorial arena for provoking confrontation. The United States and its allies should abandon the Cold War mentality, dispel the idea of seeking profit by creating bloc confrontation as soon as possible, earnestly respect the aspirations of the people of all countries in the Asia-Pacific region for peace, development and cooperation, and jointly safeguard the hard-won peace and stability and good momentum of development.
